M-E looking forward to divisional bout with Vestal

The Maine-Endwell Spartans survived a one possession game in their Week 2 win over Chenango Forks before cruising past Susquehanna Valley in Week 3, but Week 4 represents another tough task.  The 3-0 Spartans travel to Vestal to take on the 3-0 Golden Bears.  M-E is ranked first in the state in Class A, Vestal 7th.  Both have impressive scoring differentials with the Golden bears outscoring opponents by 40 points, while M-E has done so at a more impressive 110 points.

On paper, the edge may belong to the Spartans, but as you've come to expect from a team coached by Matt Gallagher, no opponent can be overlooked.

"They're a good team, we've seen them play," said Senior RB/CB Drew Gallagher.  "It should be a good game and we're ready for the task and hopefully we come out on top."

"It's great.  It's going to be a great atmosphere over there," said Head Coach Matt Gallagher.  "We're both 3-0 and it's a divisional game, so we're going to be prepared.  It's a short week for us so we've got to get going on Monday and get ready for Friday."

Kickoff from Vestal's Dick Hoover Stadium is scheduled for 7:00 Friday night.
