Now let's turn to a team that seems to sting everyone in their way before reaching the playoffs and that's the Harpursville-Afton Hornets. The blue and gold have many weapons returning on both sides of the ball.

Tim Petras and the gang get ready for another run with sophomore quarterback Tyler King. King takes over for senior captain Devon Dean from last year and King looks to take over an offense that averaged 22 points a contest. And there are 13 seniors on the roster that will make an impact as they work to get past the first round of the playoffs. Last year, they lost to Unatego-Franklin 60-14 and they will not be repeating that result this season.

"We are coming back, trying to redeem ourselves from last year. After losing in the playoffs, we just want to come back and prove to everybody that is not us, that was just a bad year," said Mitchell Weist, Junior FB/LB.
"We have a lot more speed. We have a lot of guys working hard this year, dedicated to the team and wanting to do better than we did last year," said Deion Oakley, Senior WR/CB.

"You have to be consistent. I mean you don't reinvent your team during playoff time. You have to do what you do and do it better. I think everyone needs to step up as far as expectations are come with a good attitude and get ready to work," said Tim Petras, Hornets Head Coach.

The Hornets head to Newfield Week One and then host Whitney Point for Week Two.
