Tigers (x2) take home Section IV Titles
Friday night was a good night to be a Tiger. In two Section IV Title games the Tigers won both. Tioga Tigers won their 4th straight Class D Title over Unatego 43-13 led by a 297 yard, 5 TD performance by Jesse Manuel. Manuel also set the career Section IV Title rushing touchdown record adding to his impressive resume which already includes the Section IV career rushing yard record... and he's only a junior. Tioga draws Section III's Dolgeville next weekend at Cicero-North Syracuse.
In the nightcap, the Union-Endicott Tigers upset rival Vestal 28-7 to claim a third straight Section IV Title. The Tigers, entering the night with two wins on the season have now claimed 10 straight victories over the Golden Bears. Still not as lopsided as the 21 game win streak for Chenango Forks over Chenango Valley, but it seems to be on its way. U-E draws Section III's Indian River next weekend at C-NS.
