Blue Devils ready for postseason rivalry with Wolverines
While fans always look forward to the Chenango Forks/Chenango Valley rivalry during the regular season, there's a fierce rivalry brewing in the postseason of late. The last two years the Blue Devils have met the Waverly Wolverines in the Section IV Class C Finals. The Blue Devils won both matchups, 28-27 in OT in 2012, then a 49-15 win a year ago.
This year, the two are meeting in the section semi-finals, but it will likely have the feel of the title game. While the Blue Devils say that they are "far from where we need to be," they're confident that their hard work at practice this week will pay off and, they're ready for a tough battle against a tough Waverly team.
